Standard Chartered Bank appoints a new chief information officer. Former director of CFPB Kathy Kraninger starts at a crypto-risk monitoring company. Ellie Mae’s former CSO Selim Aissi joins as an advisor to a fraud prevention firm.

Kovrr, an Israeli provider of cyber risk modeling for insurers, announced that Kevin McCarty joined the advisory board. McCarty worked as the vice president of governance, security, and risk compliance at Marriott International.

California-based wire and title fraud prevention company FundingShield announced that Selim Aissi will join its advisory board. Aissi was previously senior vice president and chief security officer at Ellie Mae.

Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Anshu Sharma Raja as chief information officer. Raja was previously global head of retail banking product technology at the multinational bank.

Cybersecurity startup KnectIQ has appointed financial services veteran Anna Harrington as chief operating officer. KnectIQ focuses on innovation in cybersecurity and works with banking and finance companies along with institutions in other sectors.

Symbridge, a digital asset exchange for accredited investors, appointed Joshua Oliver as chief compliance officer. Oliver previously worked as Metropolitan Commercial Bank, where he held the same title.

Encore Capital announced the hire of Steve Carmichael as the San Diego-based debt collector’s chief risk and compliance officer. Carmichael previously led enterprise and financial risk management at Discover Financial Services.

First City Monument Bank Limited has appointed Oluwatoyin Olaiya as executive director of risk and compliance. She previously worked as the company’s chief risk officer.

Solidus Labs, a crypto-risk monitoring company in New York, has hired the former director of the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Kathy Kraninger will become Solidus Lab’s Vice President of Regulatory Affairs.

Oluwatoyin Olaiya, recently promoted at FCMB, has 30 years of experience in banking industry.

Ten Eleven Ventures, a San Francisco-based venture capital firm focused on cybersecurity, hired Todd Weber as operating partner and chief technology officer.

Arctaris Impact Investors LLC, a Boston-based firm, has hired Alan Halfenger as general counsel and compliance officer. Halfenger has previous experience dealing with the risk and regulatory compliance needs of banks and other financial institutions.

Irish reinsurer Aon has appointed Adam Bixby as managing director and proactive security leader for Cyber Solutions North America. Bixby previously worked as a practice leader for Aon’s cybersecurity testing team.

The San Francisco-based cyber insurance provider Resilience hired Andrew Cross and Jeremy Frumkin to the cyber insurance underwriting team.
