Expel, a security operations provider in Herndon, Virginia, appointed Yonni Shelmerdine as the new chief product officer on Aug. 28. Shelmerdine comes to Expel from SentinelOne where he was the vice president of Product Management, endpoint detection and response, and extended detection and response. Before SentinelOne, Shelmerdine held product management positions at Cyberreason, Checkpoint and Lacoon Mobile Security.
AXA XL, the property, casualty and specialty risk division of international insurance company AXA, appointed Lucy Pilko as the chief executive officer for the company’s Insurance Operations. Pilko formerly worked as the managing director and senior partner for Boston Consulting Group.
Zorus, a cybersecurity product and service provider for managed service providers, appointed Brett Cheloff as chief executive. Cheloff formerly served as the chief technology officer for Zorus. Before his time at Zorus, he was an executive at LabTech/ConnectWise.
Marqeta, an international card issuing platform based in Oakland, California, announced Heather Gantt-Evans will be the new chief information security officer. She formerly worked as a security risk and management leader at The Home Depot, SailPoint and Ernest & Young.
Vantage Data Centers, a Denver-based leading global provider of hyperscale data center campuses, appointed Gregory Thompson Jr. as the first chief information security officer. The company believes Thompson will lead the company’s strategy to secure data as it grows internationally. These strategies include building a model for security threat responses, developing and maintaining security architecture portfolio wide, and creating business continuity plans.
DataVisor, a leading AI-powered fraud and risk platform, announced Kevin McWey as the new chief revenue officer. DataVisor hopes he will help the company’s growth in the financial sector.
Cyemptive Technologies, a preemptive cybersecurity solutions provider for government and business, announced that retired Lt. Col. Jason Huff is the new chief operating officer for Security Operations. Huff previously spent 23 years as a cyberspace officer for the US Air Force.
Contrast Security, a code security platform built for developers, appointed Julie Giannini as the chief customer officer. The chief executive of Contrast Security claims the hiring choice will allow the company to battle modern cybersecurity threats and to continue to grow.
Azentio Software, a Singapore-based software products company, announced that Sanjay Singh is the new chief executive. Sanjay has over 25 years in high-growth software business internationally.
Plaid, a financial services company based in San Francisco, appointed Cecilia Frew as head of Open Finance. Frew comes to Plaid from Equifax where she served as the senior vice president and global head for Visa Direct.
Gryphon Online Safety, a cybersecurity company that utilizes artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide safety for homes and small businesses, announced Fleming Shi will join the board of directors. Shi is the chief technology officer of Barracuda Networks, a world leader of data protection services.
KnowBe4, a security awareness and simulated phishing company, appointed Hein Hellemons as the chief revenue officer. Hellemons comes from SecurityScorecard where he served in the same position as well as president.
MixMode, a California-based artificial intelligence cybersecurity solutions company, announced Bob Pratt as senior vice president of product. Pratt brings with him his experience in product leadership from ArcSight, Splunk, Caspida and ClearDATA.
Darwinium, a digital security and fraud prevention company, appointed Leah Evanski as chief commercial officer. Evanski served as the global head of corporate development at Outseer, a company combating payment fraud in the financial sector.
Armis, an asset visibility and security company, announced Aviram Cohen as chief development officer and Dana Gilboa as chief product officer. Each of these individuals worked in different positions in Armis before their newest appointments.
Sourcepass, a cybersecurity and internet technology company, appointed Alan Bauman as vice president of the Northeast. Bauman is the first person to hold the position at Sourcepass. Bauman was the founding partner of CompuWorks, a company acquired by Sourcepass.
