Egyptian managed cybersecurity services provider Buguard raised $500,000 in a seed funding round led by early-stage venture firm A15. The Cairo-based cybersecurity startup plans to use the funding to expand its team, enhance product offerings and fuel growth in the Gulf Arab states.
Founded in 2021, Buguard focuses on application security to provide offensive services to clients facing the dark web. These services include penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, phishing simulations, and threat intelligence. Buguard launched a new tool called Dark Atlas, which scans dark web marketplaces to preemptively neutralize breaches.
