Asterion Industrial Partners, a Spanish investment management firm, bought 78.4% of Italian digital infrastructure company Irideos. While the deal amount is undisclosed, people close to the transaction claimed that it valued Irideos at $406 million.
Irideos provides cloud security services to businesses and public administration in Italy. They currently operate 15 data centers across Italy and host 3 cloud platforms.
Irideos will enhance Asterion’s European digital infrastructure portfolio, which covers Span, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. Asterion will seek to consolidate Irideos with another European cybersecurity company in its portfolio, Retelit Group.
